“The youth are the future.”
That’s a lie!
Usamah bin Zayd was 17 years old when he led an army into
battle. Ali ibn
Abi Talib was 10 when he willingly lay in the bed of the
Prophet, peace be upon him, knowing full well that that night
might be his last. Abdullah
ibn az-Zubair was of
similar age when he convinced his friends to give
baiyah to the Messenger of Allah, sallAllahu alayhi wasallim.
The web is filled with examples such as these, so we won’t
recapitulate them here.
The Prophet (pbuh) and his companions didn’t raise their
young ones to take-up leadership roles when they would grow
up, rather
they trained them to be leaders then and there!
The youth are the PRESENT!
